Drone Won't Calibrate — Fixes That Actually Work
Compass, IMU and gimbal calibration failures are usually environmental, not a hardware fault. Here's how to isolate the cause.
Compass errors
Move at least 20 m away from cars, rebar and steel-framed buildings before retrying.
IMU errors
Calibrate on a truly level surface with the drone at room temperature. Fresh out of a cold car is the number one cause.
Gimbal errors
Remove the gimbal guard, restart the drone and check for physical debris under the yaw axis.
