Used / pre-owned vs refurbished — what the labels mean
Used / pre-owned means a second-hand aircraft sold in the condition described on its listing. It may be a trade-in, an ex-demo unit or a customer return. Cosmetic condition, included accessories and any known limitations are set out in the product description.
Refurbished is a separate condition we use only for aircraft that have been through a formal reconditioning process before resale. We do not apply the word "refurbished" to a used drone.
Because the two labels mean different things, the condition of each aircraft is recorded against the product itself and shown on the individual product listing — check there before you order. There is no refurbished stock listed at the moment; everything shown above is used / pre-owned.

What is the difference between a used drone and a refurbished drone?
A used (pre-owned) drone is a second-hand aircraft sold in the condition described on its listing. A refurbished drone is one that has been through a formal reconditioning process before resale. We list these as separate conditions and never describe a used drone as refurbished — the exact condition is stated on each individual product listing.
How do I know what condition a pre-owned drone is in?
Every listing states its condition and describes the aircraft, what is included in the box and any cosmetic marks. If anything is unclear, contact us before you order and we will confirm the details in writing.
Do I get the same consumer rights when buying a used drone?
Yes. Purchases from www.drone-sales.co.uk are covered by our published returns policy and by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a 14-day right to cancel and your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
Can I part-exchange my current drone?
Yes — request a trade-in valuation through our Trade-in Centre and we can offset it against a purchase. Trade-in offers are made as store credit.
Is delivery free on pre-owned drones?
Yes — free UK delivery applies to all orders, including used and pre-owned stock.
We aim to dispatch all consumer drone orders within 48 hours.
Enterprise products are supplied based on manufacturer and distributor availability. Most in-stock items are dispatched within 3–5 working days. For products requiring replenishment, delivery can take 2–4 weeks. Should this be the case, we will contact you with an estimated delivery date as soon as possible. Need your equipment urgently?
