Buying a Used Drone — The UK Checklist

Before you hand over cash for a used DJI, run through this checklist. It's the same one our workshop uses to grade pre-owned stock.

Serial numbers and activation

Confirm the drone can activate against a fresh DJI account — otherwise it may be locked or stolen.

Physical inspection

Look for gimbal play, motor grit, cracked shells and impact marks on landing gear.

Battery health

A tired battery is the single most expensive part to replace. Check cycle count in DJI Fly.
